From Wikipedia:
The Junto was a club established in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin for mutual improvement in Philadelphia. Also known as the Leather Apron Club, its purpose was to debate questions of morals, politics, and natural philosophy, and to exchange knowledge of business affairs.
In this spirit, P'unk Ave started hosting a bi-weekly semi-social event. At these events, a after a social/mingling period, a presenter has an opportunity to hold the floor, talk about a topic, field questions and lead discussion. After that, conversation can break out into small groups for discussions, sometimes following the questions prepared for by Ben Franklin’s Junto, updated to be relevant with contemporary context.
